Welcome to the Jun Zhao Group
We investigate strongly correlated quantum materials, with a focus on high-temperature and unconventional superconductivity, quantum magnetism, and the growth of large, high-quality single crystals. Neutron scattering is our central experimental tool for resolving crystal structures, magnetic structures, spin excitations, and phase transitions. We combine it with complementary transport, thermodynamic, X-ray scattering, and high-pressure measurements to understand how electronic correlations, magnetism, lattice structure, and dimensionality give rise to emergent quantum states.
